How do I get a business phone number?

In Wakato, open Phone, search by country and area code, and buy a local number in the US, Canada, the UK or Australia. It works right away for calls, and for texts once registration is done where it's needed. Your assistant can also find and set one up for you.

How much does a virtual business phone number cost?

On Wakato a number has a small monthly fee, a few dollars for a US local number, paid from your wallet, and each call and text is paid per use. There's no per-seat phone plan, and you can set a daily spending limit for the AI receptionist's calls.

Are there free virtual phone numbers?

Free numbers usually come with limits or ads, and carriers charge for every real number. Wakato doesn't give numbers away: each costs a small monthly fee plus calls and texts, all paid per use from your wallet.

Do I need a business phone number for my LLC?

No law requires a separate number for most LLCs, but a business number keeps your personal number private, and US texting to customers needs a registered business number. Wakato's assistant prepares that US texting registration for you; you type your tax ID on the card yourself.

Can I keep my current number?

Wakato doesn't move numbers from other carriers. Keep your current number and forward its calls to your Wakato number from your carrier's settings, and Wakato answers them like any other call.

What happens when I miss a call?
