What is workflow automation software?

Software that does a set of steps for you when something happens, like sending a welcome email when someone books. Wakato's automations do this across your whole business, with more than 200 triggers and about 200 steps, and your AI agents can build and run them for you.

What is business process automation?

Using software to run the repeated steps of your business without someone doing each one by hand, such as following up on a lead, onboarding a client or chasing an invoice. On Wakato, fixed steps are automations and the work that needs judgement goes to an AI agent.

How is Wakato different from Zapier?

Zapier connects thousands of outside apps. Wakato's automations work across everything already inside Wakato, from your website and shop to your inbox, phone, bookings and books, and reach outside apps through webhooks, HTTP requests and connected accounts. Automations come with your plan, not billed by the task.

Can an AI agent build my automations?

Yes. Tell a Wakato agent what should happen and it builds the automation, with the trigger, the steps and the filters filled in. It can also read the run history, find why a run failed and fix it, and an automation can hand a job to an agent with the Message an agent step.

Can automations work with apps outside Wakato?

Yes. A Wakato automation can start from an incoming webhook, call any web address with an HTTP request step and act in connected accounts. Every event can also go out to your other software through signed webhooks or an event feed, which retry if your side is down.

What happens when an automation fails?

The run is marked failed or partly done in its history, with the step that failed and why, because a step that didn't really happen never shows as done. A failure can also start an automation of its own, such as telling you or an agent.

How much do automations cost?
