Get started

Your assistantyours alone, across your whole account.

Every Wakato account comes with its own AI assistant that you talk to on Home or in Messages, by typing or by voice. Its use is paid from your own wallet, under a monthly spend ceiling you set.

Every Wakato account comes with an assistant. It is yours alone: it knows your account, works across all your spaces and answers only to you. It arrives with a name and a face, and you can rename it by asking. You talk to it on Home or in Messages, by typing or by voice, on the web and on your phone.

What it uses (thinking, searching the web, voice) is paid from your own wallet, never a space's. You set a monthly spend ceiling for it.

How it works

Home

The box at the top says "Ask your assistant anything…". What you send goes into your chat with it, and Messages opens on the reply.

Messages

Its chat is pinned in your inbox. One main line holds the ongoing conversation; start a new thread when you want a separate topic.

Voice

Press the face on Home ("Click to talk") to talk live. On a computer you can share a browser tab on the call.

While you were away

Home shows a short "While you were away" card: a note your assistant left you, replies you have not opened, messages from your agents, approvals waiting on you and new paid orders. Open a row and it goes away. Press the X to dismiss one you do not need.

What it can do

  • Run your account. Ask about your spaces, agents, messages and orders, or ask it to change a setting.
  • Make and manage agents. It can make an agent for one of your spaces, set what the agent may do, which spaces it works in and what it can use. Making or deleting an agent waits for your approval.
  • Talk to your agents for you. It can read your messages and pass a request to one of your agents.
  • Search the web. It can look things up outside Wakato when you ask.
  • Remind you and brief you. Ask for a reminder or a regular brief ("every Monday at 8, tell me what's due") and it writes to you on its own at that time.
  • Find things for you. Ask for "a yoga class near me" or "someone to fix my bike" and it searches public Wakato listings, communities, businesses and events, then shows a few picks as cards. Nothing is bought until you open a listing and check out yourself.
  • Connect an account. When it needs Google, Instagram or another account, it shows a card in the chat that you press to sign in.
  • Use your phone. In the phone app, and only with your permission, it can read things like your calendar, reminders or contacts to answer a question. You can pause each one.

It asks before it speaks for you

Writing to another person, and other actions that leave your account, wait for your approval. The request shows as a card in the chat with Approve and Reject. In its settings you can choose what it must ask you about first.

Do it

Say hello

On Home, type in "Ask your assistant anything…" and press send, or open its pinned chat in Messages.

Talk instead of typing

On Home press the face next to "Click to talk". Allow the microphone when your browser asks. The call keeps going if you reload the page; closing the tab ends it.

Set its limits

In Messages, open your assistant's chat details and its settings. Choose what it must ask you first under Ask me first, and set a Monthly spend ceiling.

Answer its cards

When it asks for approval, press Approve or Reject on the card in the chat. Approvals also show on Home under "While you were away".

Voice calls

A voice call is a live conversation. It can answer, look things up and act while you talk. On a computer you can share a browser tab during the call; with the Wakato Browser Companion extension it can read and work in that tab after you allow it, and point at things on the page while it explains. In the phone app, ask it to take notes and it hands over to the Note taker, which records the room and writes it up afterwards.
